EMDR

I am basic trained in EMDR working towards certification.

What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy approach primarily used to help people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences, especially Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It can also be used for anxiety, depression, phobias, and other emotional difficulties that stem from past experiences.

What is EMDR for?

  • PTSD and Trauma

    • Combat trauma, abuse, assault, accidents, natural disasters, etc.

    • Helps reduce flashbacks, nightmares, and emotional triggers

  • Anxiety Disorders

    • Generalized anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety

    • Targets the root experiences or memories fueling the anxiety

  • Depression Linked to Past Events

    • Especially useful when depression stems from unresolved grief or childhood issues.
